Print MeWelcome! Somehow you got here! Your path here intrigues me. It might have been through a friend, family-member, or a co-worker. Maybe a teacher punished you by making you read the whole thing! Maybe you looked up "Hodgkin's Disease" on a search engine and it brought you here. Maybe you looked up "canning peaches." Who knows? Regardless of all that, welcome to the site. When I first came down with Hodgkin's Disease, I just sent mass e-mails out to all of my friends and family members, detailing how I was doing in long letters entitled "Art updates" or "epistles." But when my cancer relapsed in October 2000, I knew there had to be better way to keep people informed. One of my college buddies Patrick suggested putting up a website. The cost was minimal, the range global, and he would sign along as my Webmaster. A Web site was born. I am totally amazed at the number of people who have been to the site. It's amazing! The site has been hit over 100,000 times since October 2000, and has had at least 400 unique visitors a month. It humbles me to realize that God had such a bigger plan to bless others with my experience! The site is easily navigable and should be joy to read. I have included pictures on the site, the most hit pages on the site. A picture says a 1000 words, so quit writing Art! I have included back updates from the previous years. Some are inspirational, some boring, all are honest and a real glimpses of my life. If you feel so moved, you can be added to the Prayer and Fasting Calendar, put together by some of Art's friends from college to help organize the prayers of the people. I hope you enjoy your time here and come away questioning yourself on your priorities, your relationships, and your love. I know I did. Have a blessed day! art |
